The tether keeps the device from hitting the ground and possibly losing it very well i was climbing in to my truck and i my shoulder hit the frame of the door and the tether kept it from hitting the ground i would recommend getting one if you get a GA device

Was somewhat uneasy about my magnet becoming caught on something while crawling in tight spaces during search and rescue operations so to be safe I purchased the tether so if it becomes undone it will not go to far and be lost in process.

Definitely a good idea, especially on outer vest carrier. Easy to knock off and you don’t want the light skittering away!

I LOVE my Guardian Angel Devices, I never want to lose them the tether gives me peace of mind that should the device be knocked off the magnet( HIGHLY doubtful given the strength of the magnets) my device will never be lost.

This is just like how we tied down sensitive items in the Army to ensure we didn’t lose them and thats why I got this so I have no worries losing my guardian angel.

If you can attach a lanyard do it, One of the many things I use the short lanyard is on my hiking pack. I would of lost it many times if not for the lanyard. The lanyard also has a nice clip to disconnect it and reattach quick. Highly recommend.

Keeps it securely attached to you, although the magnet is strong enough to where this has never been used it’s nice to know it’s there to keep it attached!

I got this with my GA light to give me piece of mind that my light will be retained during heavy use (fighting or foot chase). I have lost previous BWCs that were magnetically mounted during fights despite the magnets being pretty strong. The magnets on the GA seem stronger, but this little tether really makes me more at ease that it will be there when the dust settles.

This tether is great and it keeps your light secured to you no matter what happens even when chasing after a subject or jumping fences or even getting into a scuffle it does not matter because attaching this tether to your light will give you the peace of mind that your investment is protected and it won’t be lost. We have all been there at one time or another where we lose an item and the hassle of having to back track your steps oh boy what a headache. With this tether you can rest assure your light will be either on the magnet or hanging from the tether but it will always be in your possession.

This is a great option I have it in place and it is hooked to the epaulet clip in case my light gets knocked off my shoulder strap on my backpack so it keeps it secure keeps me from losing it.

To be sure I did not lose my device during a foot pursuit, I added the tether strap. A little tough to get the tether fed through the eye on the device, but once looped, it is very secure. The tether also comes with a quick disconnect buckle.

Securing my GA is of utmost importance as I’m over 2000 feet in the air and do not want my GA to accidentally fall from the sky. This tether ensures this doesn’t happen.

This is better than expected. Quite robust and I feel like it’ll do a good job if something like a wave knocks the light off-base. Would like it if the tether came with a small screw for the older style so that you can use one of the base securing screws next to the magnet to attach.

The tether cord is a must have accessory for your guardian Device! It’s attached very securely,so NO worries of losing it. So go ahead and check that box to add one to your order you will not be sorry. Im glad I did.

I ride an electric unicycle capable of going up to 40mph and have these lights attached to my backpack. I would hate to lose these and am glad these tethers exists.
The only minor annoyance is attached the straps to the unit initially, other wise, it has been great so far
