Infrared Hybrid Red/Blue Wearable Safety Light

I work as the Transporting Officer for my department and this works great while in critical situations in the field.

device is very versatile, and very applicable to everyday use. A must if you are a Police Officer or anyone in need of light at night.

Bought this with a bit of cautious optimism. But a week in I’m really impressed. Light is perfect for directing traffic manually , buttons are easy to find and navigate without having to look once your used to it . And battery life is impressive for the light it throws off . I would recommend it to a LEO

OK. So. Its bright. Yeah, not handheld flashlight bright. But its bright. Handsfree. And let’s those around know who. What. Where!

I bought this from the advice of an IPMBA instructor and it is great for visibility while on a bike! I also use the flash light every time I get out of my car on third shift.

This is one of the best products on the market. It is very reasonably priced, with safety for the person wearing the product. More first responders needs to wear this product.

When most people see red/blue lights, they become more cautious and aware. The GA infrared safety light is a one of a kind, and can be used in many different situations. From Bicycles, to directing traffic, to check points to search and rescue, This light makes for a much safer environment. Thank you GA for a product well done.

So. I bought a light, however it wasn’t my light I’m reviewing….technically.

I was a secondary on a call for a medical emergency. The first unit on scene found the emergency and luckily after I bought mine he loved the light and bought one himself.

The light was instrumental in me finding him and the medics finding us in a dimly lit parking garage.

Very well made product! Magnet is strong and accessories are awesome! Lights are super bright at night !

While I don’t think my Agency is ready to purchase these across the board as general issued gear, I am sure that we will eventually get there. Nevertheless, in the interim – with our Agency recently almost having an Officer hit on the side of the road on a traffic stop at night (very close call), which I am sure has happened to most Agencies – making this a personal investment purchase for your own safety is a must.
The utility value of having red/white light at night for hands-free administrative tasks is great, right through to searching motor-vehicles, suspects residences to attics and dark spaces you’ll appreciate having it on you (this includes during your day-shift that finds you going into dark environments in buildings/structures).
The flashing red/blue lights over your shoulder on a traffic stop making you visible from distance may well save your life as a warning light, not to mention the emergency flash function for all LED’s that will make it easy for other Officers to find you in a low-light/zero light environment, coordinating Team movements during a riot or making you visible in a rural environment during searches or being visible from the air (IR model at night applies too).
The application on K9’s is also fantastic for tracking and roadside while checking vehicles for narcotics etc.
Having a magnetic base one can also place these in select locations as a beacon for responding units or EMS if one is away from their Patrol vehicle. The applications are far reaching and limited by your imagination and available local surface mounting options.
Of course, if you have some down time on night-shift it’s also fun to run around a vacant parking lot with it on while you’re screaming “Wheee-hooo! Wheeee-hooo!” doing S-bends. You can do vehicle traffic stops on foot the same way – do it to your friends. 🙂
In all seriousness, once you have one you won’t want to be without it once you appreciate the value of having one. It will become critical gear and it has for me – I will have mine on me on-shift, day or night.
You may even consider other colors for private use for roadside safety in your POV or for your family to use for the same reason. Highly recommended life insurance for you and your family.
